Natick is a family town and the lawns get used like it. Between the neighborhoods off Route 135, the streets around Lake Cochituate, and the subdivisions on the north side, most of the yards we see in Natick have kids, dogs, a trampoline that's been sitting in the same spot since May, and a well-worn base path to the back fence. That's a different kind of lawn problem than shade or drainage. It's wear, and it's concentrated. Soil in Natick varies a lot depending on where you are, sandier and faster-draining in the neighborhoods near the lake and heavier and more clay-bound further from it, which means two houses a mile apart can need completely different watering schedules. The other Natick pattern we see constantly is the yard that gets dug up for a project, a pool, an addition, a new patio, and then gets left as a mud pit because nobody wanted to deal with the grass.

Sod installation is our most common Natick job, and it's usually the right call. When a lawn is half worn out and there are kids waiting to use it, seeding and roping it off for two months is a hard sell. We strip, grade and prep the soil, lay sod, and you have a usable yard again. Right behind that is lawn repair for the dog spots, the base paths and the bare rings under play equipment, and lawn renovation with aeration and overseeding in early fall for lawns that are thin across the board. We also install and service irrigation in Natick, which matters more here than people expect on the sandy side of town where the soil dries out in three days. Round that out with weekly lawn mowing on a set day and mulching for the foundation beds.

What Natick homeowners usually want is a straight answer and a lawn they don't have to baby. C Tetrault Landscaping will tell you if your lawn needs sod or if a fall renovation will get it there for less money, and we'll be honest about the watering commitment either way, because new sod that goes dry in week two is money wasted and we'd rather you know that up front.
